To reduce the number of fatalities during emergency transport, which reached 60,000 fatalities annually, we standardized emergency transport-related information and processes, and built a prototype emergency transport system. Then, we conducted a joint proof-of-concept in Ubon Ratchathani Province, which is located along the eastern border. Based on a survey of advanced emergency and disaster medical care frameworks and systems in Japan, we created a prototype emergency system with consideration for information sharing and remote medical care, including the sharing of hospital and ambulance information and patient's medical checkup information, and we conducted demonstration research.
